Newport Bottling & Canning has over 40 years of combined experience in beverage research and development. Based in Southern California, we are home to the nation’s leading flavor house, Nature’s Flavors.

The history of Newport Bottling & Canning starts with Nature’s Flavors but most importantly with Bill The Flavor Guy. Bill has owned a successful natural flavoring e-commerce business, Nature’s Flavors, for decades. Nature’s Flavors currently serves everyday home chefs and bakers, as well as prestigious companies in the food and beverage industry.

A Beverage Development Company with Hands-On Experience

Innovative beverage formulation has always been Bill’s passion. So, he partnered with a friend to create his own healthy soda that is free of sugar and high fructose corn syrup – Birdie and Bill’s Soda. After using the production lines for bottling soda, Bill met with major retail stores to fill their shelves with his innovative and delicious functional beverage.

Thanks to his experience developing and selling his own healthy soda, Bill received first-hand knowledge about crafting a drink from start to finish. This process led Bill to create Newport Bottling & Canning. 

“I learned through all those experiences that it wasn’t just about the flavor. It was about the sweetener, it was about the acidity, it was pasteurizing. Too much pasteurizing can kill the flavor and ruin the color of the beverage if it had natural color,” said Bill The Flavor Guy. 

Newport Bottling & Canning set industry standards by being a one-stop shop for all things beverage formulation and development. Our lead flavorist, Bill, said, “I realized I could do bottling and canning as well. And how convenient to be able to bottle and can our customer’s turnkey formulation under the same roof.”
